a little bit about me
I’m a writer, podcaster and photographer. I’m on a journey to forge my own path, and share how we find our place in the world by being who we truly are.
navigating the journey home
I see my life as a quest to find my truth, my essence, my source, and I’ve created a map to help me, and possibly you, navigate that lifelong journey.
The experiences I’ve had along the way – especially the losses – have taught me so much about myself. Now, I see them for what they are – catalysts for change to move us forward, to shake us from our comfort zones and to bring us face to face with our truth.
Looking back, I can see countless milestones dotted along the route I’ve taken. They are there by design. Nothing happens by accident or as the result of taking a wrong turn. We all end up exactly where we are meant to be.
For much of my life, I’ve had a deep seated sense that there must be something more. I thought I would find that something on a far horizon. But it was much closer to home.
When I began to understand who I am, I realised that I could be so much more. What had been calling out to me was this: my truth, my potential, my self.
The journey home has taken me through many of the peaks and troughs of life. I’ve learned patience in withstanding the ebb and flow when really I wanted to push forward. It is all of these detours that have led me to embrace my essence. I’ve become adept at letting go, and finally worked out what is really important.
Every challenge taught me, peeling back the layers until I found myself. Somewhere deep within, I knew that every step of my journey was taking me closer to who I really was, to my true essence.
I realised the importance of hearing my own voice, trusting my intuition, aligning with the seasons and the natural world.
Seeing myself has enabled me to see others clearly. My gift is my intuition, my superpower is listening to the unspoken and seeing essence in others.
how my life changed
My life has changed and evolved. In 2015 I met the man who would later become my husband. Chris is a completely blind woodturner. Now we live in a small village in the North of England with Chris’ German Shepherd Guide Dog, Bamber.
In 2019, I left my dayjob to pursue my dream of a creative life, living on my terms and at a gentler pace.
let me be your guide
It’s still a journey of discovery. Every day I look deeper into who I am and what I believe I’m here to do.
Part of that purpose is to be a guide for others on the journey to discover their true self. To help them reconnect with their joy, embrace a purposeful life, and share their essence with the world in real and practical ways.
It often involves following the road less travelled. It will take you to the depths of who you are because that’s where your vein of gold is to be found.

forging my own path
I’m one of those people described in Barbara Sher’s book Refuse to Choose. I’m a scanner, a multipassionate, not easily pigeon holed. I’m interested in so many different and often diametrically opposed pursuits.
I’m unconventional, quirky and live outside the circle (some might call this eccentric).
